S01-Seminar on the Supreme and Unsurpassed Mahamudra of Liberation (SAUMOL)

Just before the Buddha left this world His Holiness told us that “. . . At all times, we must think about bringing auspiciousness, serenity, happiness, and peace to living beings and to the world, to the extent of giving our all and even our lives. I have already brought true Buddha Dharma to this world. Everyone who practices in accordance with The Supreme and Unsurpassable Mahamudra of Liberation and Expounding the Absolute Truth Through the Heart Sutra will surely attain liberation. That’s all. I wish all living beings happiness.”

We have been studying Expounding the Absolute Truth Through the Heart Sutra and will continue with another course on this magnificent text on January 4, 2025 with LFBCS course DCB24-Expounding the Absolute Truth through the Heart Sutra: PART TWO-III. However with the time we have between now and then, we would like to offer a special seminar that enables more of us to also explore the introduction and second mind essence of the SAUMOL and provide the opportunity for more English speakers to read and practice the preliminary translation that we have. Hopefully, this seminar will enable students to better understand how to complete P01-Introduction to the Supreme & Unsurpassable Mahamudra of Liberation (SAUMOL). This course is important in itself and as a prerequisite to other courses.

This seminar is now available to Auditing, Buddhist Studies, and Xiaman Seminary students. We pray that the English translation of the entire SAUMOL will be available for all living beings very soon. At present, the Holy Vajrasana Temple is reading portions of what we have in preliminary translation every Sunday morning at 6:00 am Pacific time. CLICK for information on how to join.
