Xiuxing Seminary Program

(Certificate or Master’s of Cultivation/Xiuxing—MXS修士Xiu-Shih): This two-year full time (or indefinite time for part time students) consists of the same courses as the Buddhist Studies Program but is only open to those who have taken vows to become Buddhists and are practicing Buddhists. The student is also required to take at least one 30-day retreat and specific courses intended to help them set up Dharma Centers and Temples and become masters and bring others to the Dharma. At least 72 credits are required to earn either a Master’s or Certificate in Cultivation/Xuixing.
