D02.1-Buddhism for Beginners, Cultivating Good Fortune & Wisdom

This is the second part of  a longer discourse entitled “Why You Learn Buddhism” expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III to beginning students on Kuan Yin Bodhisattva’s birthday in China in the 1990s.  It explains why you need both good fortune and wisdom to become enlightened in this lifetime. It also explains supernormal powers and other forms of good fortune as well as the six realms of existence. The first part can be found in “D02-Buddhism for Beginners, On Suffering.

The curriculum videos are of Zhaxi Zhuoma Rinpoche reading a preliminary translation of the Dharma Discourse at an on-line class for the Lemonade Sangha on September 4, 2021 at the Holy Vajrasana Temple & Retreat Center.
