The Auditing Student Program
The Auditing Student Program is for someone who wants to learn more about Buddhism but cannot enroll or is not interested in enrolling in a structured curriculum. These courses are free as all dharma should be. This level does not require you to become a Buddhist. You are not required to complete homework or practice the teachings. In fact, you are not able to participate in quizzes, debates, or other assignments. You can only listen to true dharma and preliminary (and unapproved) translations of most of the Dharma Discourses and Holy Texts. These courses are so designated with an “(A)” in the course ID. Some of the restricted courses may have a “PREVIEW” marker on a given text or video that offer insights into a particular feature or dharma that may be viewed or even, in some cases, downloaded. Certain seminars and other training programs may also be available to those enrolled in the FREE auditing program.
Since the Dharma itself is always free, there is no charge for these courses, which are priceless. Auditing Students may donate and support the work of LFBCS, but are not required to do so. An Auditing Student may take as many courses as many times as wanted as long as they are marked with an “(A)” and they maintain their free membership. Because we are under vow to make the best possible translations available, we ask that you update any changes in email addresses, so we can notify you should the translations be updated or revised.
